Crisis Counselors answer texts from people in crisis, bringing them from a hot moment to a cool calm through active listening, collaborative problem solving, and safety planning. This all begins with training. In 30 hours, you’ll walk away knowing reflective listening, collaborative problem solving, and crisis management.

This is an organization that provides people with training to become active listeners and provides a platform for connecting them to help those who are in need of just talking with someone. Getting started as an active listener is easy and rewarding in many ways. You’re in complete control over your displayed availability, so you can listen as often as you like.

Distributed Proofreaders provides a web-based method to ease the conversion of Public Domain books into e-books. By dividing the workload into individual pages, many volunteers can work on a book at the same time, which significantly speeds up the creation process.

Traditional Chemo Angel
As a Traditional Chemo Angel you will be assigned to a patient who you will encourage through small gifts, cards, letters, uplifting notes for the duration of their treatment.

Card Angel
As a Card Angel, you will send your assigned patient at least one card, letter, or note a week, and perhaps a small gift every now and then, but gifts are not required for Card Angels. Being a Card Angel is a great option for volunteers with limited budgets.

Prayer Angel
Our team of Prayer Angels is always on call for the prayer needs of both our recipients and our volunteers.

Be My Eyes is a free app that connects blind and low-vision people with sighted volunteers and company representatives for visual assistance through a live video call.

Scan books: using your scanner and OCR software, scan books in RTF that we don't have in the collection. This is a remote volunteer opportunity!

Proofread scanned files: clean up scanned RTF files from other volunteers and format them. This can be done remotely!
