Every moment is an opportunity for a daring adventure. Every moment is a new dawn of opportunity to change old ways and put aside what hasn't worked in the past. God offers us Peace and Truth to travel with us and when we travel with them and take their advice they fight for the very life of our soul.
We can not have a friendly battle with sin. It courts us with the love of self, puts us in chains, and then blinds us and leads you away to our death while he holds up a mirror to our beauty and whispers sweet words of love to us mentioning all the things we need to be happy…all the things we deserve.
We can not cozy up to pride and expect good results. It just doesn't happen like that. Pride never brings us peace, it promises peace, but it can not deliver it. Pride is full of empty promises that if we bank on them will leave our souls entirely bankrupt. Pride brings discontent and discord and a constant devising of ways to advertise chaos as a way to have peace. God did not create us to get angry and frustrated at angry and frustrated people.
When we travel with Peace and Truth they give us opportunities to plant the seeds they give us into various situations in life. And when we choose to plant peace and truth rather than discontent and discord the Holy Spirit will water those seeds and they will grow into a relationship with God that we had no idea was possible. And that is living a daring adventure of faith, planting tiny little seeds of peace and truth and believing they will sprout up and grow into something only God can do.
For we walk by faith and not by sight…what a daring adventure.
